Dungeness Crabs

Our Valentine’s Lobster Dinner was a bit of a disaster. We decided to steam the lobsters. I tossed in a few corns on the cob, some red potatoes, and a few polish sausages. I guess the steamer pot got too crowded and the lobster did not cook well. We steamed the lobster following 8 minutes for the first pound and adding 2 minutes for each additional pound. 10 minutes later, the lobster was undercooked. We tried putting the lobsters back on the steamer for another 5 minutes, but it resulted in the tail meat being overcooked. Oh well, at least Cheska still enjoyed eating the claw meat. :)
After dinner, we thought maybe we should have just bought crabs instead of the lobsters. It would have been a lot easier to prepare and quite tasty as well. So, Friday I dropped by Costco on the way home from work and bought 2 dungeness crabs. We had it for Sunday lunch. We kept it simple this time – just rice and the crabs. Perfect.
