Franchesca celebrated her Sacrament of First Reconciliation last Saturday. This means she is now considered an adult in the Church (this is the term the catechist used when we had our workshop for it – yes, the parents has to attend a workshop separately with their kids). A Big step to her faith I should say because unlike when you go to a catholic school that the church’s teaching is always behind you, for her, she only relies on us and her once a week catechism for her faith nourishment. But she said she is ready to take the responsibility and consequences, so we went for it. She did good in the confession, I think she is one of the kids who said a lot to the priest. I hope this means she knows her little shortcomings and she recognizes them. :) How time flies…
Her First Eucharist will be celebrated sometime this April.
